Why do strangers reach out like this? I’m a retired journalist and my home is a veritable holocaust library. I live in America because my grandparents escaped Russia. I have little family because most perished in communist Eastern Europe. I obsessively studied and wrote about the Holocaust. I can’t unsee what has happened in the last few years. DJT brought it out into the open. You are correct. What is ahead is very dark and, to me, frightening. I wish I were younger. Pithy comments I see on Twitter give me little hope that my fellow man will discern and respond any differently. It seems propaganda has had its way again. One thing I’ve noticed under this administration is how they’re main priority and concern is shaping/supplying the narrative versus actual results. I mean, sure, all administrations are concerned with putting out their version or spin on issues but this administration seems to challenge reality every chance they get. But that’s not the scary part…what scares the bejebus out of me is how so many people are ok with not just accepting it but actually defend this administration. I see so many hateful comments if you question anything the administration puts out. You’re immediately called MAGAt and a plethora of right wind extremist slurs just for saying what used to be a fact 5-10 years ago. A large portion of the population is beginning to see the other side as their enemies. Scary times indeed.
I agree with your overall point here. Biden has been vilifying a large segment of the population instead of trying to unify the nation as a whole. However, if you say he committed plagiarism, you need to lay out the case and show word for word proof. Anyways, there’s always room for improvement and this is just a little constructive criticism. I only saw one picture of Hitler comparable to Biden. I’m sure if there were cameras back then, you could find comparable shots of Jesus or Julius Caesar or any other good/bad guy. Trump was compared to Hitler more often.
